Hopeful Transitions

Hum... where to start.

I have absolutely enjoyed every minute of the past 36 hours of having my friends around. It's so nice to share life together again, as short lived as it may be at times. I hope you enjoy the pictures we took last night. We were so loud and giggly! It was wonderful!

Yesterday we spent the majority of our day at the Creation Museum. If you ever come to visit and want to know the complete low-down on creation according to the Bible or just want to hear the argument for it against that of Evolution, you should go! It starts with the 6 days of creation, moves through Adam and Eve, the fall of man, and the flood all the way to a gospel presentation at the end. It's really kid friendly and very informative with lots of interactive things and video presentations. They are opening up the dinosaur wing on July 4th. There is also a planetarium that goes through the proportion of earth to the universe and how amazing it is that God created it ALL. I thoroughly enjoyed it, would recommend it, and would like to go again sometime.

After dinner, Holly and I got on a GRE kick. We're both contemplating taking it in order to work on a master's degree at some point in the future. Have you ever taken the practice question online? I have lots of learning to do, especially when it comes to knowing vocabulary, before taking it! But that led us to a Borders trip to look at study books and Melanie to buy books for her trip to Thailand. She definitely picked some good choices.

And this morning they were off to drive back to Western North Carolina for a night of activities that quickly throw them back into the crazy reality of life. I find myself of the transitions that both of these wonderful women are going through. Holly is looking for a job closer to home. I just know she's going to get that call soon. Melanie is preparing her heart and home for Thailand. I love these ladies with all of my heart and know the Lord is blessing these crazy transitions as we are hopeful toward his great plan for our lives.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I clicked on the Creation Museum link. We are definitely going to that. J & I have already started requesting that your neck of the woods is next year's vacation.

What is GRE? I don't guess I've ever heard of it.

Loved the pics. You could tell that ya'll were having a grand time.

You guys coming up here sounds good to me! By then I might be able to get around without getting lost! :)

GRE is the graduate exam for getting into a masters program. Craziness I tell you! Actually would not be that bad if I had taken it right out of college. Well, except for the vocabulary. It's pretty insane.
