An Eventful Day

My day started out with taking Brent to work at 5:30 am for the third and final day this week because my car was in the shop from it's encounter with the white cargo van. After dropping him off the weather was gorgeous, around the upper 50s and spittin' (As Tara would put it!) rain, so I went for a run. I ran 2 miles in 20:35! I was really excited, especially because I did not push myself too hard and felt great afterward.

After picking up around the apartment, I stopped by school to ask the secretary a few questions then headed to Cheddars for lunch with some people from my new school. We had good food and a great time! There were 7 of us: 5 fourth grade and 2 first grade teachers. After lunch three of us went to see License to Wed. It's not on my top ten for the summer and I wish I'd just waited until it came out on DVD to watch it.

Sometime in there Barbara called to let us know that the house would not be closing until Monday. Blah! Something about paperwork and 48 hours that was not given by the people buying our house. Paperwork, smaperwork.
Before I knew it, it was time to pick Brent up from work....

As well as Betty Lou! Now the driver's side fender of my car looks brand spankin' new! It is beautiful. But too bad all the other dings stand out much more now than they did before, including the "butt print" in the trunk. (Those of you that know what I'm talking about should be laughing right about now... if not, think about the move up here...)

Once I got home I started working on an order for supplies at school then found out that Target has floor lamps on sale for $5 right now. I have been wanting to get some for my classroom to make the lighting more attractive than the flourescent ones. I was able to get 4 of them, which is a big start!

Which leaves me here. It was a good day. An eventful day. A blessed day. One more day until "my weekend" begins! Woo hoo!

Thanks for letting me know about the movie decision. But I might not be able to rent it in Thailand!

Look at that time!!! You go, girl! I am proud of you. :) So lunch was a great time? Very happy to hear that. Sorry about the movie. I was hoping it would be good fun.

Sounds like quite the blessed day. Good deal! And, of course, you had to throw in the gorgeous temperature, huh? ;)
