Because Brent has to get up so early tomorrow, we decided to go to see fireworks and celebrate the 4th on Sunday instead of today. This also means that since he must be at work at 6:00 in the morning that we decided to head toward bed around 9:00. Well, that was the attempt anyway, until all of the loud banging around outside.
Now I expected some fireworks. But after I gave up going to sleep, I walked out on our patio and saw some fireworks from there. Then my curiosity took me outside into the parking lot of the apartment complex to see what more was out there.
I guess every single small community in this area decided to set off fireworks because there were five different sets that I spotted while I sat on the curb and I can hear more as I sit here now. The only reason I am in here is because it started to rain.
On that note, Happy July 4th! And I hope you were able to celebrate with some lights up in the sky.

Our whole neighborhood is up in lights right now. Apparently we don't have a 'no fireworks' law here. Poor Ty (doggie) is petrified. At least it's been raining a lot so the ground isn't a fire hazard. ;)
I hope Brent is able to sleep!
