Movies and Books

This afternoon we went to see Transformers. It's a good movie, but not as good as Live Free, Die Hard or Spiderman 3 in my opinion. It made me think a lot of the cartoons and of the toys my brother had when we were growing up. Yes, it also had the love story which is always a plus, but I wish they were older. Isn't that strange how you get to a point where you want to be able to relate to the characters, but you are too old to? On a scale of 1-10 I give it a 7. Impressed, but not my favorite of the summer.

I also continued reading The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Caught. If you have not started this series of books, I recommend them. For fiction, I am learning so much from them. Just like Jodi, I need to pray first, worry last. This goes whether things are easy or challenging. And I need to remember it constantly.

"For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

First of all, welcome to my world of being too old to relate to characters. I want to know when everyone became younger than me?! Last time I thought about it, *I* was the young one....Anyway, I agree about the young love in the movie. The end of it made me a little uncomfortable. It felt a little too familiar, if you know what I mean. I enjoyed the Spiderman 3 storyline better.

I'm still waiting to see Live Free or Die Hard so I can't objectively give my opinion.

We went to see Nancy Drew and that was really cute.

I picked up the 3rd Yada Yada and will start it tomorrow. I have 50 pages left in my current book. And I'm with you on needing to pray first, worry last. Will we ever effectively learn it?

Ok, time to head to the church to get R.
