Today I worked at school for most of the day. And it's frustrating! Things are not like I got used to in Texas here in education. As I learned from STIM "It's not right or wrong... it's just different." Let's just say today I redlined big time!
Then I found out that a girl from my small group has breast cancer. Please pray for her, her husband, and their families. It has spread from the original discovery so they are doing surgery next week with possible chemo and/or radiation to follow. She's only 26 years old! I love this couple and pray for God to heal her completely!
And on top of it all, in my devotional this morning I was reminded that God has a great plan in store for all of us. His plan is for us to be anxious in nothing except for the gospel. I worry so much, but the only place it gets me is with a headache.
So tonight I will trust the Lord; King over all! He is bigger than my classroom. He's bigger than breast cancer. And he's bigger than anything else that we on earth may think is "big." It's all part of what He's up to. And it will all work together for GOOD according to HIS great purposes!

I pray for you and I both to always remember that GOD IS BIGGER THAN THE BOOGIEMAN (Veggie Tales reference) - and just as you said, He is bigger than anything that we think is insurmountable. "I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me!"
I am so sorry to hear about your friend. Prayers have already been sent and will continue to be sent.
It is so easy to worry, but we have to keep reminding ourselves of your devotional. And, as Bubba's Sis said, the ever truthful Veggie Tales song. God IS bigger than the boogeyman.
