Thinking

Lately Brent and I have been thinking a lot. Sometimes it's about the past, sometimes about the present, and mostly about the future. We think sadly on the past and some poor decisions that we made in our relationship. We breathe fresh air on the present as we realize that we are coming back from those negative times and making new ones where we are growing closer and trusting each other more.

We're feeling more and more settled here in Kentucky. But how do we know this is our destination? What if God plans for us to move again?

Then there's the topic of reaching our goals. How do we know if we are doing what we're supposed to be? Are we making a difference? What can we do to make every moment count?

We think of some of our friends, particularly Melanie, doing amazing things for God in Thialand. We pray for them, knowing that amazing things are going on with them as it is obvious to see that God is using them in amazing ways. Are we allowing God to use us powerfully where we are? Are we being content in our circumstances, as Paul reminds us in the New Testament?

And the topic of where to live. Should we start looking for a house here? If so, where? Do we want a new home or an older one to remodel? Do we want to live closer to convenience or out in the country? How far are we willing to drive to work?

The only conclusion we come to, time and time again, is that we must continue to trust that the Lord is doing good things. We must continue what we are currently doing as we trust in Him to work through us.

Not to us, not to us, but to HIS name be the glory!

Ya'll have been thinking some DEEP stuff! ;)

Don't think sadly on the past. It can't be changed and it brought you to where you are today. And it sounds like today is in a good place.

All I can say is TRUST GOD - Hubby and I have been thru some dark times this past year, times when we really wondered if God was even still listening to us. In the past few weeks it has all become so clear - God has a plan for all of us and it is so frustrating when you don't "see" it, but when you do - oh, the glory!!! Keep praying and keep the faith - God will put you where He wants you - where you need to be.
