Avoiding Boredom

Brent and I have decided that we are finally bored with reruns of King of Queens. Did you know that they play 2 hours worth every afternoon... including Satudays? We have watched enough episodes in the last few months for Brent to realize that Arthur wears the same shirt for a majority of the episodes! That's enough to make us both question our need for things to do.

So we've decided to pursue personal interests. It started out as doing something together, namely a ballroom dance or karate class. When we started looking at these possibilities we realized that:
1. Brent does not want to dance with people other than me (which doesn't work well in a class that rotates partners).
2. I would look really funny in a karate uniform.

Upon realizing these things we went with separate ideas. Who said married people have to do everything together anyway? This leaves Brent possibly starting a karate class two-three times a week starting sometime within the next few weeks. And me possibly taking an adult dance class starting at the beginning of October... tapp and jazz! I'm so excited! I have not taken tapp in close to ten years, but loved the fifteen I spent doing it before that time. Mom was right when she said I would regret quitting to be a cheerleader... But no need to ponder on regrets...

Otherwise we are both learning to love our jobs and also considering a pursuit toward furthering our education to help us attain higher goals in our careers. Brent's looking into gettting his dispatcher's license and I into a master's program. That leaves us praying for where these thoughts lead us. And that's the Carney update for tonight!

I love to tap!! You'll pick it right back up - just like riding a bike! This is the first year in several that I'm NOT dancing - my ankles begged me for a break so I'm granting them their wish.

Have fun!!!!

No, married couples don't have to do everything together. As a matter of fact, I think it's good to do something individual of each other. That way you have something fresh to talk about. ;)

Ya'll enjoy your new interests!
