During the last week or so I have seen two quite interesting things on my way to and from work. In order to fully understand what I saw, you must visualize it as you read. I would try to find something to help you out, but no picture could do it justice.
The first sighting was during the morning communte one day toward the end of last week. As I looked to my right toward the Midas car place there was this man standing in front of it pacing back and forth. He was shaggy looking, kinda like Forrest Gump when he was doing the walking across the country toward the end of the movie. He wore a black, blank ball cap with brownish Carhartt coveralls. He was also wearing a posterboard sign on the front and back of him that was connected by a string and said, "Do what is right. Don't take your car to Midas. They are cheaters and liars." To beat that, there was a man that worked at the Midas store standing in the window with the curtain pulled back who was on the phone with a frown on his face. I had to wonder who he was talking to...
The other sighting was on my way home from work this afternoon. This was on the same road. I was going the opposite direction. Lots of cars go down it both morning and afternoon as lots of businesses and schools are off of the road.
To my right, going toward I-75 in front of the Perkins Restaurant, I see a guy that is very grungy with black, unwashed hair. He is wearing a blue and black plastic University of Kentucky jacket with jeans and tennis shoes. He was maybe in his mid-20s. And he was skipping. Wait. Not just skipping along, but pulling the bottom of his feet up to his knees skipping. Can't you picture it?
Who knows what I may see on the way to work tomorrow?

There is something so carefree about skipping!
See anything odd today? I'm really curious about the Midas situation....
