- She asked me what the word "synonym" meant and kept telling me how much she enjoyed "cinnamon" on her cereal after I said the word. We finally figured out that we were talking about two very different things.
- When asked if I thought dragons were real, I said, "No, they are mythological creatures." (Sue has a large vocabulary!) She yelled, "NONBELIEVER!" (Later we discussed how it is impolite to yell at teachers...)
- Sue has a hard time making friends, especially because she calls other children names. Well, after a discussion with me about how name calling deters friendships, she apologized to the girls she was doing it to. However, later Sue came over to me complaining because the other girls were following her around (She told one of them to "Go to h***!"). She did not understand that they were trying to be her friend.
- After telling the girl to "Go to h***", Sue cried really hard when she got into trouble for cursing. She also admitted that she was 1/2 fake crying.

Stories of "Sue"
There's a girl in my class this year who is both humorous and learning lots of things about life. In order to keep confidentiality, we'll call her Sue. Here were today's incidents:

I like your new look & header!
I envision lots of "Sue" stories in our future! She sounds like someone who stays in your heart forever. She is lucky you are her teacher. She's going to learn great things from you, educational AND life.
It's going to be a fun year of "Sue" stories! You may learn as much from her as she does from you!
