This year my team was Punctuation Marks for the annual book parade.

We spent our Halloween handing out candy. Because this was our first Halloween in our house here we did not know that there were so many kids in the neighborhood and ran out of candy before dark. I was bummed. On the other hand it was nice because I'm reading The Secret Life of Bees and it's (unfortunately) overdue. Speaking of which, it's a really good book! I can't wait to finish it so that I can go see the movie.

I didn't think I'd like Secret Life of Bees, but I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I enjoyed it a lot. R had to read it for her 9th grade summer reading. We plan on seeing the movie too. I wanted to do it tomorrow, but it depends on what time she gets home from spending the night with her BFF.
