So my brother-in-law, Blake, tells me that it's time to update the blog. I told him that nothing too exciting was happening, but here's a shot at what's been going on with the Carney's lately.

The BAD news:

• I'm working on my National Board Certification, which means LOTS of typing and uncertainty that I'm on the right track. I've already made phone calls to Texas and North Carolina in panics full of questions.
  
• I have to redo my science video tape for National Board. It's a long, very sad story. I don't want to go there.
• I've had a cold off and on for about 2 weeks. I've caught it from different people. If you're sick, STAY AWAY!
• I taught 21 five to seven year old this morning at church. We did an activity with balloons. It was crazy! I am reminded why I do not teach the primary grades.
• Our dishwasher is broken... again. We've been waiting on a part for a while now. Thank goodness I have a hubby that doesn't mind washing dishes and knows how much I dislike it!
  

The GOOD news:

• Brent and I are getting excited about Thanksgiving and Christmas. We can't wait for turkey and decorations!
• We have a little something up our sleeve for our Christmas to each other. We're still in the midst of planning, so I will say no more for now.
• 18 more school days until Christmas Break!
• We had game night with the Faris's last night and I made a chocolate chip pound cake. My oven cooked it perfectly! (PS I still want a new oven... Brent says that we have to wait for the year warranty to run out on our house first... in JULY!)
• Our small group is growing. We have almost doubled in size during the last month, going from 2 couples to 4! Once the babysitting dilemma was figured out I think it helped a lot.

And that's us for now. Like I said, it's not all that exciting, but it's an update :)
