Does Jesus...

double chocolate chips in monster cookie recipes?

The other morning I was making monster cookies (AKA oatmeal, peanutbutter, brown sugar, chocolate chips... total goodness!) for the school luncheon that 3rd-5th grade teachers were providing. I had asked Brent to get ingredients at the store earlier in the week so that I would have everything I needed, but did not ask him to get chocolate chips because I thought I had enough. I was wrong. I went to measure out the 2 cups to realize that there was only 1. Did I mention that it's between 5:30 and 6:00 am? I could not even go to the store if I wanted to. So I put in the amount that I had and prayed for the best.

100 cookies (no exaggeration!) later, there were extra chocolate chips in the bottom of the bowl where the batter had been. This made me think of the story in the Bible about the 2 loaves and 5 fish and how Jesus multiplied them to meet 5,000 peoples' needs. (Matthew 14:13-21) I think Jesus multiplied the amount of chocolate chips to meet my need. It sounds goofy, but it's not impossible!

I think Jesus would only double them if they were white chocolate. You know, that whole "God is light and in Him is no darkness" thing. :P

It sounds like He certainly does!
