Well, tonight I was supposed to make chicken and dumplings for dinner. I'd promised Brent that I'd be home by 5:00 so that food could be on the table and eaten in time for me to leave for Zumba at 6:00. At 4:25 I finally had my turn for the copier at school, which jammed for about 30 minutes (stupid hidden paper!). Add in the 20-25 minute drive home, and I did not arrive until closer to 5:30. By this time, Brent had given up on the planned meal and made delicious chicken biscuits instead.
First thing when I walked in and he said, "Go to the bathroom, then we'll eat." (Just so you don't think he's strange, I really do go to the bathroom first thing when I walk in from work 99% of the time.) But I did not need to go today. I thought nothing of it, made our ice waters, and sat down for supper. We began talking about our days and I said, "So at school today I found out that one of the parents of a kid in my class is going to let me borrow the second book in the Twilight series."
His face fell. Brent walked away and came back a minute later with New Moon in hand. It was a new copy which he had gone to FOUR different stores to find. He had told me to go the bathroom when I first walked in because he'd made our bed (which we do NOT do every day) and put the book on it for me to find. He'd even rehearsed what he was going to say when I found it. Isn't he the best?

OH! That is one of THE most romantic things I've heard in a long while. That Brent. So precious!
I read the first 3 one right after the other in less than a week. Then I had to wait for the 4th. I won't say a word about my thoughts until I know you've read them.
Whatever, did he wait in line to get it signed by the author? Uh...no, that's what I thought.
Looks like BW loves me more. Why don't you pick up a copy of Clyde Drexler's biography and quit that pointless nonfiction stuff...
LOL - whenever I have a surprise for Hubby I leave it in the bathroom because I always know he'll find it there!!!
I haven't read any of the Twilight books - I don't know why. Just haven't.
