What's For Lunch?

Lots of times on Sunday after church we go to lunch with our friends Brian, Myra and their two boys, Alex and Eli. Today we went to Garzelli's. It's one of those places where you order first, sit down, then wait for your food. When we first walked in, Brent and I knew what we wanted, so we ordered. Our friends were not sure and wanted to get the boys sat down, so once they got to the table Myra told Brian, "Just order for all of us." Brent thought he was brave.

A few minutes later he came back and Myra asked, "So what did we get?"

"I ordered 40 wings for us all to share." Brent and I just looked at each other and Myra made a face. Brian went to get their family drinks.

When he came back Myra said "Well, maybe we should get some cheese sticks for the boys or something," as nicely as possible.

Brian said, "I don't think that will be needed."

She then asked them what flavor he got and his response was "hot." Which was when Brian told the truth. He had actually ordered very reasonably.

He had her thinking for almost 10 minutes that he was going to feed a 5 and almost 3 year old hot wings!
