- We planted flowers and shrubs out front. They look pathetic right now, really small, so I'll take pictures when they get bigger. (that might not be until next spring...)
- Praise the Lord there are only 3 more days of school. It's been a year!
- On June 10 I take my National Board Test. (No results until around Thanksgiving...)
- The week of June 15 I am teaching at Camp Invention, a science camp my school sponsors each year. I found out today that my pastor's kid is coming. I'm excited about that.
- The last weekend in June we're going to Atlanta to visit Brent's family. Good times!
- The first weekend in July Holly's coming up! Yeah!
- Melanie comes home from Thailand July 13! Hooray!
- Sometime in July I have to take the GRE if I want to start master's classes in the fall.
- I should hear from the lady at NKU about getting 12 hours grad credit for finishing my National Board Portfolio any day now. (The entire program is 30 hours, which means I'll have 6 classes left. At that rate I could finish by the end of next summer! Woohoo!)
- I am the Summer School Coordinator for my school during July. I don't have to teach, just organize, and I get paid!
- I'm tutoring 2 (maybe 3) kids on Wednesday afternoons. I'm excited that they are all in one day!
- I get to move classrooms. Many of you have heard me complain about no windows for the last two years. Well, I get to move across the hall to encounter sunshine! Too excited about this!
- Brent and I hope to incorporate Hiking Mondays back into our summer this year.
And that's a wrap. I don't know when school starts in the fall yet, and don't care right now. I'm quite ready for summer and working on my tan in between all the aforementioned events. It looks busy, but there's still a lot of down time. Both are good, because I get bored if there's not enough going on in the summer anyway!

Whew. I'm pooped! Looks like a fun summer! We have no plans here. I would love to be able to visit family in Memphis, but there is a problem called gas money. Sigh....
Melanie's coming home for good? I know you are excited (even if it's just for a visit)!
Melissa, how did the National Board test go? I gotta call you. Thanks for the hint about the links on my website. Thanks so much for writing about me on your blog. Makes me feel loved. I love you and can't wait to see you either!
