Houston and Baby Update

Last weekend I finally made it to Houston to see some of my girls. The weekend started out short, but ended up longer than expected with airport troubles. Anyway, I'll stick to the positives in this blog post.

I flew in on Thursday. Friday afternoon Alison and I got our toes done. We forgot to take pictures though all 20 of them look beautiful and feel ready for Spring. The weather was beautiful and perfect for showing off our new pedicures.

Here are my beautiful "Greenies". I love these ladies and miss the daily relationship we used to have. I mostly love that we still keep up. We spent 4 hours at Gringos last Friday night- and no one asked us to leave even once! It was awesome!

On Saturday morning Alison, Tara and I sat outside Starbucks and caught up over smoothies, lattes, and marbled pound cake for over 2 hours. Again, some amazing ladies who I miss so much!

Most of the weekend was at Alison's house with her new babies. This is Rose Mary. She is the most adorable thing ever and has the cutest laugh imaginable. She's learning how to stand. I give it only a month or two until steps are taken.

This is Daniel wearing my sunglasses on our way out of Kroger. He loved them so much. Look at that amazing smile. Doesn't it just make you want to squeeze him?

I was supposed to get hom Sunday afternoon from Houston, but due to airport issues, a 4 day weekend turned into 6. I did not get home until Tuesday night. The kids at school missed me so much! They were seriously worried about me when I got back on Wednesday morning. I just love them so much!

And last, but not least updated belly pictures. These were taken a few minutes ago at 18 weeks. I can't believe it's only 22 more until the little one is due to arrive. I have started feeling him/her move some, but it's inconsistent and very light. Mostly I wonder if it's just gas bubbles. Except for in the airport on Monday morning when I KNOW it was the baby. It felt like someone lightly rubbing your arm. Precious!

So as you can see, I am "getting fat" as one of my kids said this week. Gaining weight is hard for me since I've never done much of it before. But it's worth it! The baby is already so loved I can hardly stand it!

Lastly, we ordered baby bedding last night. I'm stoked about this too.
But more exciting was scheduling the ultrasound. I cannot wait to see what the baby, now the size of a sweet potato, looks like!

Ultrasound date: April 16. (A month seems like so long right now...)
