I am still enjoying being pregnant, but there are some "pleasant pains" becoming associated. For instance, little feet kicking me at the top of my belly, toward my ribs. Just yesterday I was able to feel them in their entirety- a little heel and tiny toes. There's also some stretching of the abs happening, which is not comfortable, that I am have to remind myself is part of the process. "The Baby Bible" (aka What to Expect...) says that once the baby drops, 2-3 weeks before delivery, these pains will stop. I've also been having periodic painless braxton-hicks contractions for quite a while, which again is normal from what "they" say.
Mostly I can't believe we've only got a little over 7 weeks before our new addition will be here. It seems very surreal... and there's still so much to do!
- I only have a few more discussion board posts and two out of three of my summer master's classes will be finished.
- Brent helped me put together the furniture in my classroom today. That was a big relief because there is no way I can lift heavy shelves, tables, and filing cabinets on my own. Now I just have to put things away.
- My goal for next week is lesson plans for maternity leave.
- I'm taking a 3-week class about Law in Kentucky Education in July
- July 10 is our birthing class and 6 year anniversary
- July 11 my church friends are throwing a baby shower
- Brent's contemplating putting the car seat in the car...
