On the Week After Christmas...

some true loves came to us, and others could not make it. That's how our week started out. Stupid snow! My inlaws were supposed to come up on Sunday, but the crazy weather stopped them. We'll do Christmas with them some time in January. My sister is still coming up today and Holly later in the week. More to come on that later.

For Christmas, Brent and I had planned on going on a date. Brent's parents were originally going to watch Oliver for us, but when they could not come we were in need of another babysitter. The Newman's were the first ones to come to mind. So last night Brian, Myra, Alex, and Eli came over to our house and watched Oliver for us. They are great! Myra told me many cute stories like how Alex wanted Oliver to have a bath because it makes babies smell good. And Eli rolled on the floor with Wilson until he was "pinned" like in wrestling. My favorite story was how when Myra went to put Oliver to bed he kept would kick his feet out from under the covers and play with them. When she would put his legs back under he would laugh about it and do it again. From what they said the night went great! They are even willing to do it again some time.

Brent and I had a great time too! We went to a Mexican restaurant downtown Cincinnati called Nada. It was amazing, by not like any Mexican I've had before. The chips and salsa were so good I can still taste them. My meal was chicken and a bunch of unique vegetables. Yummy! Brent's was really spicy, but that was good for his continuous congestion. He was cleared out by the time we left! Then we went to Playhouse in the Park to see "A Christmas Carol." The acting was superb, leaving us in the Christmas spirit when we left. An annual tradition? We'll have to wait and see.

Like I was saying, Oliver's newest thing is his feet. He's hilarious playing with them. As usual, this sweet little boy keeps us on our toes and laughing. Enjoy a few pictures!
Pawpaw and Uncle Bob in Florida sent a special present for Oliver.
He's learning to play piano at a young age!

Holding his feet makes Oliver roll over on his side.

"Wow! This is fun!"
More feet action when the Newman's were over.
This was when he kept escaping the covers and laughing about it.
Alex had to make sure Oliver was OK before it was time to go to sleep.
