Unpacking

So now that my friends have gone back to Houston I have begun the process of seriously unpacking our apartment. It's quite a bit more of a challenge than I imagined since we're going from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment. But I've finished the master bedroom, bathroom, and living room. I'm now in the process of organizing the kitchen. We'll get there! Who knew we had so much stuff in the house?

My other task for the week is finding a job for next year. Being the go-getter that I am, I have already applied to three counties (aka school districts), submitted for 16 jobs in one of them, and printed off resumes and cover letters for every available schools in each of the counties. Tomorrow I will mail off for Kentucky certification (I just got all of my needed information in the mail on Friday) and go school-to-school to drop off the resumes and cover letters. I'm hoping to give them straight to principals. It is kind of like being a kid and selling candy door to door, begging people to give you money. Except this time I'll be begging for a job. I can only hope for the best!

I've also committed myself to running both the Houston and Cincinnati marathons (thanks Tara) so I guess that means I have to start running sometime this week as well.

So that states my ambitions for this week of summer vacation.

And Brent starts work at DeltaElite tomorrow. I pray for good relationships and report at work. This job is what we've been praying for!
