Leaning on the Promises

Ah! It's Saturday morning. I'm grateful that it's Brent's last day of work so he will be off for a few days, because I am officially bored and out of ideas for things to do today. Well, things I really want to do that is...

Things I've done during the last three days to occupy myself:

  • cleaned our apartment
  • downloaded over half of my Cds on my MP3 player
  • took pictures of our apartment (which Brent says someone is going to come rob us now since I posted them... please don't!)
  • ran (I've got lots of work to do if I'm running Houston in January!!)
  • went shopping
  • read the entire Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Tough (great book!)
  • even watched TV (never my first choice...)
I'm unsure of what today holds as of right now, but probably a repeat of one or more of the things I've already done this week. Let me know if you have any ideas.

I can't wait until we find a church or school starts so that I can make some friends. I miss all of my gym girls, my shopping divas, my book club smarties, my school buddies, my tv watchers, my camping crazies, and my errands gals. You know who you are. All of you. You are greatly loved and missed!

I am realizing that this is when I must depend on God to bring me through during every moment. I can sit here and get caught up in my "wanting something to do", which leads to me being needy, annoying, and clingy. Or I can ponder the promise that God is up to something good here. I can pray for the people I miss and the people I will meet. With this "new" mindset I begin to look forward to what is to come of today.

You can always do what I do when I've run out of things to entertain me: play mindless games on the computer. I'm addicted to Gin right now.

Yada Yada #3 is ready for me to pick up from the library!

I am praying for you to find a new church and make new friends too. I know how hard and lonely it can be. I heart your new mindset tho. All things are possible!

I'm with you on the computer games. I've been playing Spider Solitaire.

Hooray on the book! You have to let me know what you think!

And thanks for the prayers. I love how you say "I heart..." It makes me smile!

Aw, I make you smile! :) Yay me!

I'll get the book tomorrow. The library by me is closed on Sundays.

Spider Solitaire! I haven't played that in awhile. I'm stuck on Medium. I can NEVER win on difficult. Ever!
