SisterChicks

I just love having some of my SisterChicks around!

After getting Brent off to work, Melanie and I went for a loooooooong walk. Well, we thought we were just going "around the block" but it was much further than I thought. (Tara, you should know exactly what I'm talking about here... not that I ever did that to you...) About an hour and half later with a sunburn and being close to dehydration we made it back to the apartment. We were desperate for cold showers and water by the time we returned, so much so that we had headaches.

Once these needs were met I heard back from the principal at Erpenbeck Elementary (I had left a message earlier in the day) and she invited us over for a school-wide tour. I am really excited about my new school. It will never hold the same special spot in my heart as Greene, but it's still going to be awesome. I got to see my classroom. It's HUGE! but has no windows. She said I'd most likely be moving classrooms in a year because they are in the middle of a bunch of transitioning with all the building that is going on around them. I got to talk to my principal and another teacher from the interview that teaches 1st grade for a while. They are fun and enthusiastic people. I'm excited to work with them!

After our tour, we made an emergency stop at Dairy Queen before going to Newport to see the bridges. Melanie really likes bridges. After that "wild" adventure we came back home to eat dinner and watch "John Tucker Must Die". By the way, if you have not watched this movie, I recommend it. (Don't bring the kids!)

Now I'm exhausted! So as soon as Brent gets home from work I will be climbing into bed for a good night's rest. Tomorrow new adventures are to begin! You'll just have to wait and see what they are!

I wondered if John Tucker Must Die was any good. Thanks for the recommendation. :) We went to see Fantastic 4. That was really good too!

Sounds like you & your SisterChicks are having a great time together. Good deal!

No, the new school won't be Greene, but it sounds like it will be equally wonderful for you. No windows might be a tad creepy at first. But HUGE? That makes up for it!

I am so going to miss you when I enter Greene's doors again and you aren't there. I am happy for you and can't wait to hear all about your new adventures as a 4th grade teacher.
