Thai Currie

I would like to take this opportunity to thank God for raising support for one of my best friends Melanie! She has now gotten 100% and will be leaving for Thailand at the end of August.

Here is my prayer for you:

Not to Melanie, O Lord, but to Your name be the glory, because of Your love and faithfulness.

The people in Thailand will say "Where is our God?" Melanie's God is in heaven; You does whatever pleases You.

But the Thai idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men. They have mouths, but cannot speak; eyes, but they cannot see; they have ears, but cannot hear; noses, but they cannot smell; they have hands, but cannot feel; feet, but they cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.

Melanie, trust in the Lord- he is your help and shield. The Lord remembers You and will bless you: He will bless Thai Currie, He will bless Mission to the World, He will bless those who fear the Lord- small and great alike.

Lord, increase both Melanie and her mission field. Bless her, Maker of heaven and earth. The highest heavens belong to You, O Lord, but the earth You have given to man. It is not the dead who praise the Lord, those who go down to silence; it is Melanie who extols the Lord, both now and evermore.

Praise the Lord!

(Taken from Psalm 115)

Thanks so much for that Psalm. I still remember that vividly from Japan. I told that story about the dad and his son that recited that as they passed the Buddhist statues often during my support raising presentations. Thanks for your prayers. Woohoo, I'm going!
