The weekend

This morning I am thinking about how different foods and when I eat them make me feel. This weekend I have eaten horribly! Between 10 PM Applebees on Saturday night and 8 PM Mexican last night I'm not feeling that great this morning.

I'm also thinking a lot about houses. Brent and I spent time with a real estate agent from 1:30-9:30 yesterday looking and talking about houses. We saw many interesting things, only two of which caught my attention.

One was a newer home with very few flaws. It would be easy to make into whatever we want. It's much closer to the house we owned in Houston in style and such, so it made me the most comfortable.

The other has gotten the nickname "Stained-Glass." It has awesome curb appeal from the front, but the inside is a wreck. Who ever lived there before must have been into stained glass because there are random works throughout of it. The kitchen would have to be practically redone because the walls are hot pink, the carpet (yes, in the kitchen?) is royal blue, and the cabinets are white with black trim and knobs. Interesting, huh? The carpet is not stretched out so it would need to be fixed as well. I'm not even going to bring up that the master bedroom is deep purple and hot pink. Good things about it was that it has lots of potential. The backyard has a screened porch that overlooks woods that belong to the property down to a creek. It's awesome. We're just not sure if we want to, or can afford, doing the necessary work to it. We must like it though because it keeps coming up in conversation.

And now I think about school. Writing portfolios. Please continue praying for me. We're about half-way finished with our "perfecting" process. They are due on April 24.

Have a Happy Monday!

"Stained-Glass" house sounds, um, interesting... I would love to see pictures of it.

Praying for you & the writers. I hope the pressure isn't weighing down on you too much.

Hey girl! That's exciting that you are looking at houses! Shane told me Brent called him today about "stained glass." I have to say, I have never heard of a house like that before--ever!

Good luck with your class. I know you will be glad when the writing is over. It won't be long now! I will be praying for you!

Take care,
Alison

fun times...
the stained glass sounds cool. I must say, I am partial to fixer-upers. It really gives you a chance to make it your own-and perhaps learn something new!
Good luck w/ the decision!
