At first I was going for the Reece Witherspoon look from Sweet Home Alabama, but a little longer. The girl cutting my hair started out by evening it all out, taking about two and a half inches off. About the time that she finished this, she asked if I wanted bangs like in the picture. I told her no, because bangs are a pain to grow out.
About that time I realized that I was not sure if I really wanted to deal with that many layers again either since we're leaving for Alaska tomorrow. So, I chickened out and stuck with a normal "me" hair cut instead.
After chopping it off, here's what you get:
In the end I don't look much like the original picture I took with me when I went, but I like it a lot! I guess that's what matters. I am glad that I won't have to pay the consequences of bravery later.

I love it! You look great!
I got my hair chopped of this weekend, too. Several inches taken off, and back to one length - no more layers. I have to have bangs, tho. I look like a dork without them. Maybe I'll put a pic on my blog of my my new summer "do"!
The internal thoughts of Melissa, thanks for sharing. I understand completely. I'm thinking the same thing lately, the hair's pretty long! Love you and hope Alaska rocks!
I love your hair. It's always so shiny & bouncy and you never have a bad cut! This one is no different. Love it!
I can't wait to hear about your Alaska adventures. Ya'll will have such an amazing time!
I just found your blog while looking for an article on Beth Moore's blog... google did it... anyway, I always figure that the thing about hair is that it grows out - the worst hair cut ever will only be temporary!
