Fish Fry

Every Friday during Lent all the Catholic churches around here have Fish Frys. After much contemplating, Brent and I went tonight. For $8/plate you get 2 pieces of fried fish, macaroni and cheese, french fries, 2 pieces of bread (white for me, rye for Brent), coleslaw, tartar sauce (yuck!) and a soda (or beer if you prefer). The one we went to was in the basement of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Independence. Maybe this should become a Friday habit! It wasn't the best food ever, but it was pretty fun chillin' with a bunch of people over the age of 60!

I think its funny they offer beer! We have been to our neighborhood's catholic church's fish fry a few times and we enjoyed it, too. It is fun to break bread with random people sometimes!

I'm glad ya'll enjoyed yourselves. As I'm not a fan of the fish, I doubt I would have gone. ;)
