Labor Day to Thanksgiving

Here's to October and the first part of November. I can't believe I have not posted in so long! This is going to be a lengthy post, so hang in there...

In October we always have a long weekend off from school so Brent takes off work and we go camping. For the past two years, Alison and Shane, our camping besties, have come up to go with us. We went to Taylorsville Lake this year and had a blast! We miss them so much.
Brent and Shane giving directions. Do they know what they are doing?
Alison enjoying UDF ice cream! The next week after camping, was COSI at school. We travel to Colombus with the kids to this science museum. We love it and the kids love it. Here I am riding the 30-foot high suspended unicycle. the kids thought it was awesome that I was on it.
The next weekend we traveled 18 hours by car to just outside of DC for Chris and Hannah to get married. Here are some leaves we saw on the drive. That's pretty much all we saw on the drive. There is NOTHING between home and DC except for trees. They were beautiful though! Here's us at the wedding. We looked good :)The last thing in October was Halloween. We sat out on the front porch with warm drinks to greet the Trick-or-Treaters. We had probably 100 of them. What fun! Here's Brent with the candy bucket. Isn't he too funny? Here's this year's pumpkin. We got it from a 2nd grade teacher at school who were throwing it away after it was gutted. That's why he has a black mark under his nose. It's not boogers...Here's Wilson in his Pilgrim hat that Courtney, our dog-sitter, got for him. Isn't he just adorable! He didn't even try to take it off!The second weekend in November Brent took me to see Fame that was put on by the Cincinnati School of Performing Arts at the Arnoff. We ate at Fountain Square then walked to the theatre, only about 3 blocks. It was an awesome time and very impressive for a high school production. I loved it... even our front row seats that we earned by accident. Which brings me to the latest update...
Do you remember all the posts last school year about National Boards- all my worries, turning in the portfolio, sleepless nights, and on I could go?
Well, I PASSED! As of yesterday I am officially a
National Board Certified Teacher!
We are so excited!

Thanks for reading if you made it this far. I hope you enjoyed the update!

I LOVED the update. Favorite picture, your date picture. Beautiful dress. Doesn't look like a teacher to me. And great foot position. John would be proud. Love you. Congratulations on the National Boards. I knew you could do it!
