In the ATL

Yesterday Brent, Mary Ann and I spent most of our day in the ATL between the Georgia Aquarium and walking the streets of downtown. (I promise this is not nearly as dangerous as it may sound to some...) The Aquarium is awesome and definitely lives up to it's name of being the "largest in the world." As soon as I get home I'm going to post my pictures on my winkflash page. The most amazing animals were the beluga whales and the whale sharks. The only negative aspect of the aquarium is the amount of people there. (Brent kept smelling the farts of all those around us. Really disgusting when you're talking about hundreds of people!) My advice is to wait about five years to go... unless you want to be bombarded with the people and all their smells!

After all of our "fishing around" we went to the CNN building for lunch. We did not go on the tour of CNN but ate lunch at Moe's Southwest Grill. I had the Chicken Club Quesedilla. I really like it a lot! Brent bought a vintage 1974 Atlanta Braves hat at the "Braves Store" in the lobby to the CNN building. He's real excited about it. (See picture below for more details...) We also walked through Centennial Park. It was really hot and unfortunatley I wore my $2 jeans and burned up as it was close to 100 degrees!

Then was my favorite part of the day! I was surprised when we pulled up to SweetTreats! It's icecream (of course!) that's like Marble Slab or Cold Stone, but it's a small town chain. They make their own waffle cones and put marshmellows in the bottom so that it does not leak. It was a very happy part of the day.

We ended yesterday with Somewhere In Time, Mary Ann's favorite movie. In August she and John are going to Macanaw island in Michigan, where it was taped, for vacation. It's definitely worth a watch, but not on my personal top 10 of movies.

Today we ran some errands and visited Brent's grandparents again. Now we're working on making a deal on our house. It may be closing in the middle of July... I'll keep you posted!

I can see Granny in Brent. Very sweet.

I can not wait to see the aquarium for myself. Sounds like another fun day.

I'm with you on Somewhere in Time. David's mom raved about the movie. It is one of her all-time favories also. I watched it and just wasn't impressed. But, I'm happy that Brent's mom will get to see the place it was filmed and enjoy herself.
