I have about two hours until the interview. I've taken a shower, put on my clothes, and painted my nails. I have a few more things to do, but they will not take an hour and half total.
In my thoughts I find myself revisiting my teaching style, ways of handing parents, working with other people, and discipline procedures. I'm trying to associate kids, parents, and other teachers with the situations to make them make sense in my head. Associating my thinking with what I know will get me excited during the interview and show my passion for what I do. That's where I think I have a chance.
I love teaching! I love my kids! I love learning and growing in my own knowledge and the challenges that come with it. Yes, I am one of those nerdy teachers that can picture herself doing this for the next 30 years... and enjoy every minute of it.
So I guess I'll go finish getting ready before my palms sweat too much thinking about my evening.
PS I might be going to meet some people at Barnes and Noble tonight who have a knitting club that gets together every week. Depends on if I get a phone number or not...

You do love teaching and you do love your kids! And your kids love you and love your teaching. I know that came through in your interview.
So, tell me, how do you handle parents? ;)
