Dessert Night

Brent and I have decided that in order to eat somewhat healthy and to be sure we are still "dating" that we will go out for dessert once a week. We decided this for our New Year Resolution and kept with it pretty well until we moved. Now that things are getting a little settled we've decided to start back on this plan with Friday night being dessert night.

Usually we are huge fans of ice cream, but we decided to go for something a little different. Brent's been wanting to eat at Big Boy for about a week now, and I have not agreed to it. Until tonight.

Luckily I was only talked into dessert. And luckily we won't be going there again any time soon... if at all. Maybe we are becoming food snobs or something. Or maybe we really do eat healthier than we thought. I don't want to make Big Boy sound bad or anything, but it wasn't the best dessert I've ever had. Brent got the Hot Fudge Icecream Cake. I got the Coconut Cream Pie. They just didn't taste good compared to some of the other options out there... or ones I could have made at home.

I'm sorry your date/dessert night was lacking in good food. :(

Aww, you'll have to wait until next week to try again! Did you eat it all anyway?

Melissa, I have to tell you what happened to D and me tonight...we had just gotten out of the Harry Potter movie and we were starving. So we headed to Cheddar's because we really wanted that hot apple pie for dessert! We only ordered soup for dinner so we wouldn't be too full for it. So we order it, wait a bit, then our waiter comes out and tells us THE COOK DROPPED THE LAST APPLE PIE ON THE FLOOR!!!!! THE LAST ONE!!!! He said he'd give us any other dessert on the house, but we were too upset to even think about anything else. We pouted the rest of the evening.
