A Day in the Park

Today's events included:
  • enjoying eggs, sausage, and jelly toast for breakfast made by my grandfather
  • Wednesday donuts and coffee with the senior citizens
  • surviving a tour of the trailor park on a golf cart with my grandfather
  • watching the cows protect the new calf
  • chasing the tall red-headed cranes
  • enduring reruns with my grandmother
  • surfing the internet across from my uncle
  • running for 15 minutes (I could not make it any longer! Too hot!)
  • showering
  • riding around to see miles and miles of orange groves
  • eating lunch at Arby's
  • making our way to Avon Park
  • beating the rain back
  • savoring a take-out taco salad from the local beer barn
  • reading Flabbergasted
  • guessing the answers to Jeopardy with my grandmother
  • listening to the Braves game with my grandfather and uncle

That's about it! It was a great day. I have really enjoyed spending time with my grandparents and uncle. It's back to Kentucky tomorrow afternoon.

Wow, you did a lot today!!! I bet your grandparents and uncle were just tickled to be able to spend time with you too.

Um, we saw a little of the game while eating at Barcena's. That was slightly embarrassing for us Astros fans! 2nd inning and 7-0. I have NO clue how it turned out.

What a perfectly wonderful day and how wonderful that you have your grandparents still to spend time with. You are truly blessed in that.
