A I-275 Adventure

Today I hung out most of the day with Kelli, one of the 5th grade teachers from school. Like me, she enjoys random things like shopping and running errands. I have a friend!

We started our day off with a breakfast of bagels at Panera. Then we drove I-285, the interstate that circles Cincinnati. Yes, we drove the entire 85 mile loop! It goes through three states, Kentucky, Indiana, and mostly Ohio. Our day consisted of looking for a foreign-food grocery store, shopping at Tri-County Mall, where we ate at the much missed Chick-fil-A, and discovering that you really can make it from the northern most side of Cincinnati to the airport in 40 minutes. Here are some of the things noted about Cincinnati along the way:
  • the northern side of Cincinnati is very industrial
  • there is nothing but trees in Indiana
  • the river looks like a movie with the paddle boat on it in the fall sun
  • Tri-County Mall is NOT between I-71 and I-75
  • some exit ramps were closed due to construction today (yes, this caused a slight problem...)
  • the most annoying thing about driving this city is extreme TAILGATING!
All-in-all it was a great day! It was nice to just chill and be myself with someone. We told LOTS of stories to get to know each other better, talking a majority of the day. It's truly amazing how much alike we are. Neither one of us can wait for our next adventure!

Yay! That is the best feeling, meeting someone new who you know is going to turn out to be a great friend. What a fun day! I'm happy for both of you. :)
