At church Chad has begun a new sermon series entitled "He will be called..." from the verse in Isaiah 9:6:"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
This week he spoke about our Wonderful Counselor. Can't you hear the Christmas song in your head? Every year in middle school we sang it. Did you know that there are places in the new testament where in the New International Version it says "Counselor" and the King James Version says "Comforter"? These words are synonyms! That realization has really hit me this week. He not only counsels us in the ways that we should go, but He also comforts us through it. This thought alone makes my heart happy and puts a smile on my face.
