I cannot believe I have less time left being pregnant than I have already been pregnant. This journey has been so much more enjoyable than I ever imagined.
My belly is getting quite large... the baby is the size of a cantaloupe and length of a banana actually! I feel "it" moving every day now. It's mostly in the morning after a shower. It also likes to move when I am exercising or walking up big hills (which I don't do a lot!). I am finding myself winded more often when performing such normal routines, forgetting that I might have to take it a little slower, though still trying to take it at my same, rushed pace.There is a life inside of me! Yes, I know that this has been the case for quite some time. For some reason it's starting to actually seem real over the last few days.
We're starting some preparations for the August arrival, though it seems quite strange. Maybe that is one reason things are starting to seem more real. Last weekend we ordered baby furniture and last night we began the registry process. There is so much to do, yet I don't even know if I understand even a percent of it.
Last weekend Gramps (John) and Grammy (Mary Ann) visited last weekend for Easter. We had so much fun relaxing on the back porch, shopping, and house fix-ups. It was fun seeing them and they are so excited about the arrival of "Shim" as Mary Ann calls it. (I don't like it, but it's better than "Heshe" I suppose...)
The next exciting thing is next week's ultrasound. Sometimes it is all I can think about. The last time it was the size of a blueberry. Now it has arms and legs.I cannot wait to see our baby moving around in my belly next week!
