Enjoy some play by play of Brent and my "Babymoon" to Chicago. We had a great time relaxing and walking Monday through Thursday.
When we came home on Friday we got to see Baby Carney for the first time since it was about the size of the fist in this picture. For those statisticians out there it is right now weighing in at 1 pound, 2 ounces and measuring at a delivery date of around August 20. All of its parts are there along with healthy fluid levels and position. Though everything still seems very unreal, we're very excited!

This is us at Chicago Botanic Gardens, which was possibly my favorite thing we did. The flowers that were in bloom were beautiful, though in a month it will be all the more gorgeous! It was nice to breathe in some fresh air and enjoy some of God's beauty.

Brent and I went up the 103 stories to the top of Willis (used to be Sears) Tower. It is the tallest building in North America. As you ride the elevator to the top they show the heights of other tall buildings that are being surpassed in the world. It was fun to think of which ones I had been to the top of before.

This is Brent on the SkyDeck. It terrified me, though I tried it, but he just stood there confidently with nothing but glass between him and the ground 103 floors below.

There were two parks that really helped my increasing amount of breathlessness in Chicago. This is the fountain at Grant Park, which unfortunately was not turned on. Just close your eyes and imagine what the fountain looks like with water spewing out from everywhere...

I never knew Chicago had so many revolving doors. We walked though what seemed like thousands of them. Here I am walking out of the Museum of Contemporary Art. That was some weird stuff! I loved making up stories about what it "could" mean, dazzling Brent with my creativity.

Don't just glance over this one. Look at where he is sitting. Ha! Ha! Ha!

Though neither of us were impressed, we did try Chicago Deep Dish Pizza at Gino's East. Brent is tired here because we just walked about 7 miles. We did a lot of walking on this trip!

This last shot was taken at Millennium Park in front of the "bean." I wanted a good reflection of the baby belly to show off :)

As you can see, we had a great time over Spring Break on our trip to Chicago!

What a FUN trip! So glad ya'll got to go. What about the Cubs game? Where are those pics? :)
You look fantastic and the both of you look so happy. Glad to hear a good report on the little one. How often do you feel the baby kick nowadays?
We forgot to take pics of ourselves at the Cubs game, only of the stadium.
It's just started picking up on the kicking. I feel it pretty regularly, but it's not strong enough for Brent to feel yet.
Wow, LOVED the pictures. The ones in and outside your tummy! Great pics in Chicago. I'm so glad you went. Talk to you soon!
